Huge surprise! In addition to the Sturm & Drang Prize—the best paper award of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Goethe University Frankfurt—I have also won the best teaching award (“Fachschaftspreis für exzellente Lehre”) of the student council for my lecture Financial Derivatives and Risk Managment. Unfortunately, the award ceremony at the Dies Academicus had to be cancelled due to the corona crisis.
Nevertheless, it’s a great honor to get awarded this prize for excellent teaching, which is assigned after a secret ballot in the student council. Many thanks to the students, who have acknowledged my primary aim in teaching, namely conveying knowledge in the best possible manner.
