I am thrilled to announce that I have won the Sturm & Drang Prize 2021 for the best publication by a young researcher of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Goethe University Frankfurt.
My paper The Social Cost of Carbon in a Non-cooperative World, which has been published in the Journal of International Economics, should have been awarded at the Dies Acamedicus. Unfortunately, this ceremony has been cancelled due to the corona crisis. The laudation by Prof. Dr. Simone Wies can be downloaded here.
It’s a great honor to get awarded the Sturm & Drang Prize. I am very thankful that the decision committee has honored this study on the social cost of carbon and thus acknowledged the importance for the fight against climate change.
I would like to express my gratitude to my co-authors Holger Kraft and Eduardo S. Schwartz for the joint work on this project, and I very much believe that it’s been worth the effort.
