Research Interests
<\/strong>
I am a financial economist focusing on various aspects of asset pricing, climate finance, and household finance both from theoretical and empirical angles. I am keen on analyzing how climate change affects financial markets and the real economy. Therefore, my research can also be classified as environmental macro finance. I am particularly interested in how carbon taxation triggers the transition towards a low-carbon economy and how it changes the investment behavior of market participants towards more sustainable investment opportunities. Moreover, I also study dynamic asset allocation, housing decisions, and optimal insurance demand of private households in the presence of adversity (e.g., biometric\u00a0risk, climate risk, transaction costs, energy price shocks, \u2026), where I employ techniques from actuarial science, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
